Susan Jordan

I work as a psychotherapist and Focusing teacher in Ashburton, South Devon. I offer one-to-one psychotherapy sessions, individual Focusing sessions, and Focusing courses in various locations. I am happy to run workshops tailored to the needs of particular organisations or groups. I also offer supervision to psychotherapists and other helping professionals. I have an interest in creative writing and from time to time offer workshops that combine Focusing and writing. I am a long-time Buddhist practitioner and am also interested in the way that Focusing and meditation can support each other.

I am a UKCP registered psychotherapist and trained at the Karuna Institute in Core Process Psychotherapy. I have been practising as a psychotherapist since 1995. I have a Diploma in Supervision from the Karuna Institute and have been supervising counsellors and psychotherapists since 2005. I am a BFA recognised Focusing Teacher and a Focusing Institute Certified Trainer and have taught Focusing since 2003. I worked in the voluntary sector for 30 years, with older people, people with disabilities and users of mental health services. Until recently I worked as a supervisor in two mental health counselling services.
