Liz Turner has been practicing yoga for over 10 years with many teachers and traditions including from the Forge Yoga Centre in Totnes, Harbour House in Kingsbridge, international teacher Debbie Mills, Michelle Levi, and teachers/ashrams in India. She completed her teacher training with the Satya Loka School of Yoga and Traditional Tantra and feels privileged to pass on her fascination and passion for yoga.
Liz has also completed Drunvalo Melchizedek’s ‘Awakening the Illuminated Heart’ workshop led by Irene Viglia and ‘Cosmic Grace’, for a more heart-centred consciousness. Part of Liz’s yoga training with the Satya Loka School included the Hridaya (or spiritual heart) meditation, a further way of engaging with heart consciousness.
Her passion for nature started at an early age and her academic qualifications reflect this: Environmental Conservation NVQ3, Environmental Science Bsc (Universities of Plymouth and Victoria, B.C.) and Distinction in Holistic Science MSc at Schumacher College.
Since 2004 she has been running NGO, Trees for Health, leading groups and workshops in a large range of outdoor activities – practical, mindful and experiential. This has included Goethean Science, an approach that requires a participatory relationship with nature.
