The Barefoot Barn was initially created in 1999 as a venue for the local and wider community for the teaching and practice of yoga and meditation. In recent years, it has also been used for pilates, movement, and tai chi classes.
Set in six acres of woodland, glades and ponds, with a view across Dartmoor, the Barn and its environs provide an area for walks, reflection and meditation.
The emphasis of the programme offered primarily focuses on yoga and tai chi classes and workshops. Day-long and weekend Buddhist meditation retreats take place periodically. There is a regular weekly schedule of yoga, pilates and tai chi classes during term-time, and a drop-in meditation evening once a week.
The barn is generally closed for events during August.
Please note: The Barefoot Barn is not for hire.
